Full Experience. Accelerated Pace.

You’ll get the same Loyola experience as your peers, with one less year of tuition costs. While 90% of incoming freshmen at Loyola receive financial aid, Degree in Three can help you secure additional savings and get you into an earning position one year sooner. For Loyola graduates, that means earning an average annual salary of $40,000 out of college.

If you enter Degree in Three with concurrent enrollment credits from high school or credits through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, you can save $30,000, on average, by eliminating one year of expenses.

Even if you don’t start your Loyola experience with advanced standing, you will still be able to take advantage of lower-cost summer courses and condensed learning options like May Term and January Term. If you are Pell-eligible, you can use year-round grant money during the summers to reduce out-of-pocket expenses.

Cost-saving benefits that add up:

  • Eligibility for year-round Pell Grants
  • Lower-cost summer and January term courses
  • One less year of tuition costs
  • Career readiness in three years

A three-year degree comes with the same prestige and job preparation as a traditional four-year degree. By completing a full course load, including summer and January terms, you’ll condense the same four-year curriculum into a three-year schedule. Many students may also apply AP credits, dual enrollment college credit from high school, and credit from International Baccalaureate scores to help reduce course requirements.

This program is open to all applicants. You should feel prepared to take a full-time course schedule and be confident in your chosen major. It will be difficult for students to switch majors and still meet all course requirements in three years. It is not a requirement for you to join Degree in Three with previous credits through AP testing, International Baccalaureate, or dual enrollment programs. Your admissions counselor can help you determine if you’re a good fit for the program based on your major and academic goals.

You will likely have a full, year-round schedule and should be prepared to commit fully to your academic achievements during this time. With flexible options like asynchronous online courses, condensed summer and January terms, and short-term study abroad opportunities, we aim to make your experience work for your schedule.
